MathyCathy's Blog - Mrs. Cathy Yenca
Today I explored Cathy Yenca's blog titled "MathyCathy" on her blog you get to see what's going on from her 21st century mathematics classroom. A little bit about Cathy is that she has been teaching math for 15 years, she was also a stay-at-home-mom for three years. She is passionate about math and her blog is focused on sharing her classroom experiences with iPads. If you want to know more about her such as where she taught or her credentials you can find them at her about me page. What I really liked about her blog was that under her "Media & Mentions" tab she shares more than just media and mentions but also resources and every visual has a link that takes you to the content. My favorite one was about how she used Book Creator, it's all about things that you don't see in normal mathematic books and how with the help of her son they got around that and authored their own books. Cathy has a twitter but that's about it for social media besides her blog. But her twitter handle is @mathycathy, and on there you can find tweets with links to articles, jokes, inspirational quotes, and retweets that can lead to good hashtags or other good educator pages to check out.
